About us

Morgan Primary School is a small school with a family atmosphere. It is situated about 150km north-east of Adelaide, alongside the River Murray. Morgan works in a strong and cooperative Riverland West cluster.

It includes all the small schools of the Riverland West as well as Waikerie Primary, Waikerie High and Swan Reach Area School. Our curriculum focuses on individual needs and addresses the eight areas of study: English, science, mathematics, technology, society and environment, health and PE, the arts and LOTE.

We also offer a variety of cultural packages. Student progress is reported through the use of homebooks, interviews and written reports. Our code, developed by negotiation between teachers, parents and students, emphasises the rights of everyone to feel safe, and learn to the best of their ability in a supportive environment. We have a Student Representative Council made up of a representative from each year level. All students participate in an annual athletics competition between five mid-Murray schools. Each year a splash carnival and sports day is conducted between Cadell and Morgan. Students' participation in SAPSASA sporting events is also encouraged.
